This curated selection aims to bring together six deliciously interesting wines from fantastic producers - all at outstanding value.
You won’t find these bottles at the supermarket. Our founder, Peter Lunzer, has used his expertise to select quality wines at a great price. Each one offers a flavour experience that’s a little different from your everyday tipple.
This selection contains one sparkling wine, two whites, a rosé and two reds. Enjoy them on their own, or with a meal - or why not create an incredible six-course dinner party with wine pairing?
The selection:
- Nyetimber Classic Cuvee, MV
A beautifully light sparkling wine from the southeast of England, which pairs perfectly with pear, salad or white fish. An impeccable apéritif.
- Altano White, 2020 Douro Symington
If you like your Sauvignon Blanc but want to switch things up, you’ll love this Altano White. With an incredibly interesting flavour profile full of tropical fruits, it’s delicious with shellfish.
- Cotes du Rhone Blanc, 2022, Etienne Guigal
This is a more heavyweight, almost oily white wine, particularly tasty with buttery dishes such as cheese tart or chicken kiev. A quality wine from an excellent producer, at a great price.
A perfect example of a provençal-style rosé: crisp, elegant and full of summery strawberry flavours. Try it with fruity salads, charcuterie or grilled vegetables - ratatouille, anyone?
- Brolio Chianti Classico, 2019, Barone Ricasoli
This thick, unctuous red is a classic example of a Chianti wine. The complex, layered flavours are an ideal pairing choice for meaty, tomatoey Italian dishes, such as ragu pasta.
- Chateau Lamothe Cissac, 2018, Cru Bourgeois, Haut Medoc
This beautifully complex red is made in a traditional style of Bordeaux, full of succulent, savoury fruit flavours. Pair it with steak, a rack of lamb or aged cheeses.
