Chateau Laville 2018 Sauternes (12x37.5cl)
Château Laville 2018 Sauternes (12x37.5cl)
Grapes: 90% Semillon 10% Sauvignon Blanc fermented after enjoying the benefits of 'Noble Rot'
Château Laville is owned by Jean-Christophe Barbe and his family. Jean-Christophe’s particular area of expertise is ‘noble rot’ in his role as oenology professor at the University of Bordeaux. As a producer of Sauternes, he has had plenty of opportunity to study this phenomenon, first-hand.
A bright golden yellow, this wine opens with aromas of fresh citrus and candied fruit. The palate is intense and layered, with flavours of dried fig, orange blossom and sweet spice, and the finish is remarkably fresh and long.
Nothing quite like a half bottle to finish off a feast... If you simply put it on the table and don't say anything then the chances are there will be all the more for you!
Cheers...
