The history of Cape wines goes back centuries and therefore probably erroneously referred to as New World... The French Hugenots were largely responsible for imitating a few of the better elements of French wine making practice, in particular when creating 'Bordeaux Blends' and Vergelegen, founded in 1700 have been rather good at doing just that... 

With nearly 6 years bottle age this is another soft and warming red wine - great structure and balance which will chirpily accompany cheese and meat whilst putting a smile on your face...
