Puligny Montrachet 2021 Domaine Jacques Carillon (6x75cl)

Jacques Carillon made the wine at the family estate, Domaine Louis Carillon et Fils, for twenty years before the estate was divided by Louis, in favour of his two sons, Jacques and Francois.  

Jacques got the original cellars, there in Puligny since 1511 and his brother set up shop on the other side of the road. For some reason I have always followed Jacques but both sons make legendary Pulignys from the original holdings.

The wines are always barrel-fermented in just 20-35% new oak and the aged for twelve months in cask before spending six months in stainless steel vats once the barrel selection has been made. Stunning!
