An extraordinary wine for such a low price - the market price for this wine was halved when Château Lafite insisted that you take an allocation of Château Rieussec to be allowed to have access to their Grand Vin.
The result was that UK Merchants ended up with a stack of unwanted Rieussec 2009 having made their profit selling Lafite to China!
The result even today, is that an £80 bottle of exceptionally fine wine is available with a £48 price tag!
