Once again the philosophy here is to find a cracking wine at a fraction of the price of the flagship labels made by the same people. Established in 1852, Murrieta is one of the oldest and most respected bodegas in Rioja Alta and their “Castillo Ygay” at around £160 per bottle highly sought after. 

This temptation is simply gorgeous. Not unusually when it comes to great wines, many well published critics agree with me (see below) and at unded £23 per bottle this feels like exceptional value for money...
