From the family run estate founded by the owner and winemaker Peter R. D. de Pentheny O’Kelly we are stocking their wonderful wines. Peter was an Irish blooded Swazi, who acquired the farm in 1990. He lived on the farm with his family and personally ran the farm with the help of Giorgio Benvenuti, a vine specialist. After Peter's death in 2016, the family run farm is now led by Peter's son Rory with the expert guidance of oenologist, Dr Vittorio Fiore.

Chianti Classico Riserva must be a minimum of 80% Sangiovese but when it comes to flavours, the extra time aging in barrel and then the minimum 3 years in bottle, sets these wines apart. Coming from that famous region west of Florence but this 2019 is a gorgeously full blooded version of Chianti at it's best. We only recently ran out of the 2010 harvest and look forward to consuming this one for at least the next 9 years...

 Sangiovese (min 80% required)with 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged 12/14 months in French oak barriques and then at least three years aging in bottle before release
