We have always admired the quality of wine from this 5th Growth estate in Pauillac which justifiably commands 2nd Growth prices.
It seems hard to imagine that the estate was quite literally gifted to the Cazes family when the then owner, ran out of cash to support the operations of a wine estate.
The rest, as they say, is history...
